chinese gender predictor accuracy?

chinese gender predictor accuracy?

I’m supposed to find out the sex of my baby in ten days and it’s driving me nuts!! I have used those gender predictor things online, a bunch of different ones…a lot of them say I’m having a boy, but some say I’m having a girl!! Are these things just a crap shoot or are they accurate at all? Do any of the other old wives tales have any accuracy, like the heart rate thing ? Just wondering!

Answer by Jordan R
According to that thing I’m supposed to have two boys.

I have two daughters.

No very accurate at all.

Predicted I was having a girl and I had a boy!

Answer by Rachel Ortiz
No truth to them what so ever. I am a OB/GYN and I can’t tell you how many times women come in my office and tell me they are having a boy based on the chinese calender or because the heart rate was a certain speed only to go to ultrasound and find out it is a girl. The only thing that is the most accurate is a ultrasound

Before I found out the sex of my baby we were doing all sorts of things like this. All sort of “ways to find out the sex”. All of them pointed to a girl. Including the chinese gender charts which seem to be acurate for quite a few people. My son is almost 15 months now.

Well, I have seen different versions of the Chinese Gender Chart.

This one was correct, but others were not:

The chart was correct for me 3 times, one of my daughters 4 times and 2 of my friends twice and it was wrong for my other daughter 3 times. So its just speculation.

On both accounts incorrect, they told me girls, but have a boy and carrying my second boy!!! 100% incorrect!

The chinese predictor was right for my first born, I had a boy :)

With my second, the chart said boy – but I had a girl :)

As for old wives tales, I think they are mainly a bit of fun! But I did find some of them to be accurate.

My son I did carry really low (so did my friends who had boys) and with my daughter I carried really high (and so did my friends who had girls)

My son had an average heart rate of 140bpm, my daughter had a faster heart rate at 160bpm. This could be put down to how much activity each baby was doing in there though – maybe my daughter used to do a bit more moving!

I craved chocolate with my son and couldnt stand red meat, I always had chicken. I had morning sickness. With my daughter, I wanted meat all day every day and had no morning sickness.

My hair grew faster with my son and slower with my daughter.

So they actually were opposites of eachother, which was interesting! They are only 18months apart in age, so it cant be put down to a change in me personally.

I wouldnt rely on old wives tails, although they did predict correctly for both of my children (but they had low figures like, 57% chance of a girl) They are fun to do though :)

How exciting for you!! Congrats :)

It predicted i was having a girl and i had a girl but to be honest i think these things are like old wives tales and are intended for a bit of fun only!
I wouldn’t take them too seriously, especially if you’ve got different results!!

I was in agony waiting to find out the sex of my first baby but it’s worth the wait!.
Enjoy the rest of your pregnancy.x

It said I was having a girl and I had a boy. They’re all is good fun. The only way to know 100% what you’re going to have is after birth

Mine was right for both of mine. Both boys. Says this one is a boy also. Heartrate was 160s with both boys but this one is in the 130s so I’d say no to heartrate and the chinese gender calendar is always going to have mixed reviews because honestly its a 50% chance its going to be right.
